About The CauseNetwork Web App
The causenetwork web app makes it easy for you to support your favorite cause when shopping online. The web app has two purposes:
- To automate the collection of donations to support your selected cause when you visit a participating store
- To find coupons for participating stores so you can save money while you are shopping to support your cause
The web app has been carefully designed and tested so it does not adversely impact the performance of your browser or your computer. It requires a small amount of data to be stored on your computer to properly collect donations from participating stores that you visit, and to know which cause you wish to support with your collected donations.
CauseNetwork Web App Privacy Commitment
The web app does not present you with advertisements, does not collect data on your shopping or web surfing habits, nor does it spy on you in any way. Its sole purchase is to facilitate donations in your name and provide you with coupon codes so you can save money when you shop at participating stores.
Use of Cookies and Information Collected
When you download the web app, it will download a “cookie” that links your browser to the cause you wish to support. Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored on your computer that are required by the web app to properly route your donations. The web app remotely accesses causenetwork.com offers and donation links so your cause will receive up to 10% of your purchase as a donation.
The cookies placed on your hard drive remain active only while your browser is open. They are not used to collect personal information or spy on your shopping or web surfing patterns. Your web browser may notify you when you are receiving a cookie, giving you a choice to accept it or not. If you choose not to accept the cookie, the web app will not be able to send donations to your selected cause. Your sole option if you do not wish to have this information collected is to uninstall the web app.
How Your Information Is Used
We do not sell, rent, provide or otherwise share individual information generated from your use of the web app with any third parties. We do periodically aggregate and anonymize web app initiated donations for the sole purchase of describing the web app’s performance metrics to our investors, cause partners, and participating stores.

Security of the customer data in our systems is a priority. Our systems and practices comply with all applicable federal and state privacy laws.

The donations we collect generally come from the advertising budgets of participating stores, so the more purchases that flow through CauseNetwork, the less these stores spend on Internet advertising.
