Blind Cat Rescue was started in 2005 to answer the need for a safe place for blind cats that were deemed not adoptable by regular shelters. They were going to be killed just because they are blind. In 2011 we built a building to provide a safe sanctuary for FELV+ & FIV+ cats. We work with local rescues to spay/neuter stray & homeless cats.

Loudoun Interfaith Relief
LIR is a food pantry serving Loudoun County residents. We supply perishable and non-perishable food items directly to our clients. This past year, LIR served more than 15,000 individuals and distributed over 1.3 million pounds of food. We serve approximately 500 families a week and almost half of those served are children.

The Nova 94 Feet AAU Youth Basketball Program forms selective youth basketball teams that play competitively around the Washington DC Metro area, Northern Virginia, and nationally, against other similar programs. We have over 300 boys and girls in the program that play on teams from ages 7-18. Many of these players will continue to play basketball in college, some on scholarships, and it is our goal to help them get there.

Herndon-Reston FISH, Inc. is a primarily volunteer, nonsectarian, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization providing Friendly Instant Sympathetic Help to local residents in short-term crises. FISH has assisted Herndon-Reston residents since 1969. FISH responds to assistance requests for rent, utilities, prescriptions, medical items, and other emergency needs. Our goal is to prevent an eviction, keep utilities from being turned off, and help people pay for necessary medications.

Maryland Leadership Workshops
Maryland Leadership Workshops empowers middle- and high-school students to discover and develop their own personal leadership style, setting them up for success in all facets of life. Students leave MLW ready to become leaders in their communities. They’re able to think critically, are better decision makers, less likely to succumb to negative peer pressure, and more likely to generate positive peer pressure. Graduates also report that they’re more prepared for employment and higher education.

Arts for Border Children
The transformative power of the arts drives the highly successful integrative reform process of Arts for Border Children (ABC). The ABC process is changing lives of children on native lands, rural areas and the inner cites of Arizona. ABC provides innovative and comprehensive programs in dance, media arts, music, and the visual arts that are integrated with the core curriculum. We particularly encourage teachers to have students experience the parallels between science and the arts.

Divot Charities is a Northern Virginia based organization that raises money for charitable organizations across the country. The organization was founded in 2007 by a group of friends who saw the incredible potential in organizing social, athletic, or other events to raise money for people in need.
Dominion Trail Elementary School PTA
The organization is a 100% volunteer Parent Teacher Association for a suburban Loudoun County, VA public school which services a student population of 22% free or reduced lunch recipients. Trader's Rack, an online children's clothing exchange & shop, exists to save families money on their children's clothing, so they can spend more time and money on the things that are truly important. We hope to effectively educate the public and private sectors about the real danger of living, working, or attending school in environments with elevated levels of radon gas and it's Lung Cancer affects.

Bee Mindful's mission is to cultivate community sovereignty through place-based education, concentrating on communal food and herbal medicine needs. The Pilgrimage
The Pilgrimage is a service-learning hostel based in the heart of the nation's capital. With a 40-bed capacity, we host groups who come to Washington D.C. looking to engage in service learning and popular education based programs.
During a stay, a Pilgrimage group will participate in service learning through organizations serving the working poor, homeless, and hungry in Washington, D.C. Also essential to a Pilgrimage trip is integrating those experiences through reflection.

Our mission is one of restoration for the community of Park Heights. This 2000 square foot community center serves as a gathering place for participants of the football and cheerleading program. On May 14 the Desrosiers family lost all of their material possessions and home to a fire. They are starting to put life back together but need financial support for temporary lodging as well as childcare and specific donation items for the rebuild of their family home.
Cancer Can Rock
This foundation serves musicians facing aggressive cancer. Donations go directly toward getting these musicians into a studio with professionals and tangible result for them and their families during what is otherwise an unsettling time for them These songs have provided pride for those who have survived cancer and solace for their survivors.

Family Preservation and Strengthening Services
Family PASS assists working homeless families and those families at risk of losing their homes in Fairfax County. We provide families with emergency funds to prevent eviction as well as support for education and job skills training. We also connect these families with the transportation and childcare resources needed to become self sufficient.
